Background
The game traces its begging’s at least as we know it today back to France, Spain and Italy of 17th century at the time the game was called Vingt En Un, as it was called on France, “ventiuna” as it was called on Spain and “Seven and a Half” as it was called on Italy. The first written reference to the game comes from Miguel Cervantes novel “Don Quixote” in which the two main characters are very proficient in cheating.
During the French revolution BlackJack enters the states but not with much popularity, to contend this gambling houses used various techniques to a 10-1 payout in the case that the black jack would be an Ace black jack ( either a Jack of Clubs of Spades).
Introduction
The main idea of the game is to accumulate cards that have the odds of getting the highest hand or getting you closest to the 21, being 21 the automatic winner, without exceeding it, with is called “busting or breaking” and many other terms. In a Casino setting before the distribution of the cards could take place all players must place an initial bet in order to receive his starting hand or his two initial cards.
The setting of the game would be a table shaped like a kidney, in the oval side of the table the dealer will stand and on the other side of the table, the players, in a number usually from 5 to 7, would be sitting on high chairs.
