Background

The game traces its begging’s at least as we know it today back to France, Spain and Italy of 17^th century at the time the game was called Vingt En Un, as it was called on France, “ventiuna” as it was called on Spain and “Seven and a Half” as it was called on Italy. The first written reference to the game comes from Miguel Cervantes novel “Don Quixote” in which the two main characters are very proficient in cheating.
